Over 18, but still want to join in on the Jamboree experience? Look no further!

No Jamboree or scouting event would happen without the hundreds of adult volunteers from across the world that kindly lend their time to help make the legacy continue on year to year!


At KIJ2017, the Management Team are putting in two tiers of staff to make all the aspects of the jamboree flow as freely as possible.


IST (International Service Team)

This will be made up of adult volunteers aged 18+ from the Scout and Guide movements worldwide. Their primary role will be to provide the essential services and activity support to help make the jamboree happen. They will be responsible to the Department Heads and Lead Instructors (KST)

The IST Program/Package will run from the 27th July- 9th August

On registration to KIJ2017, there will be option for all IST to choose a preference of area to work in within the Jamboree and list any specific qualifications or certification within these bands to help us plan your daily rota. These areas will be:

 

·       Programme

·       Facilities

·       Subcamp

·       Communications

·       Administration

·       General

 

Full job descriptions will be available for all allocated IST once the programme is confirmed from the HoD's.

General IST, will be those who ar enot allocated to a specific area. We will be implementing a daily rota, which will allow you to move between different roles in your area. This will all be communicated via the IST Co-ordinator prior to the event.

 

The fee to attend KIJ2017 as a member of the International Service team will be £30. This is to cover your Camp Fees, all Training and the Staff Goodie Bag.

Seven Days of Catering can be added to your package for a further £50

A Post tour to London OR around Kent can be added for a further £20

A Post Tour Around Kent AND to London can be added for £50

KST (Kent Service Team)

This will be made up of Activity Leads, Heads of Departments and Specialist Programme Suppliers. One of the key roles KST will have, is to take direction from the management team and oversee the running of day to day programme activities, evening to evening events, and managing their allocated IST teams. Some roles will require prior work leading up to the Jamboree. All of the available roles are going to be advertised online during 2016.
